Week #80 February, 15, 2018

hi!  Well the highlight of this past week was yesterday when Elder Christofferson and his wife came to our mission. The meeting was supposed to start at  10:00am but when we got to the mission office at 8:15 there was already a bunch of missionaries there and like at 8:30 the mission Rancagua showed up. Then Elder Christofferson got there along with Elder Bragg a seventy from the area presidency with there wives. We all got to go up and shake their hands and then they started the meeting.  At the meeting the 2 mission presidents and there wives gave shorter testimonies.   After Elder Bragg and His wife and then Elder Christofferson and his wife spoke.  Some interesting things that I liked. Of the two mission presidents, a seventy and an apostle and all their wives I am pretty sure not one of them didn`t mention the book of mormon.  I think pretty much every leader in the church has been talking about it so i think is shows that 1) it is very important and 2) we still aren`t reading it enough.  Elder Christofferson also talked about the plan of Salvation.  He asked us to prepare a one page summery about the plan of salvation basing ourselves in the 2 nephi 2, 2 nephi 9, alma 12 and alma 42. 

This next Saturday we are going to have a baptism for a kid named Fabian who is 10. His mom and stepdad are both active members but what happened is that his real dad wouldn't`t give him permission so he wasn't  baptized when he was 8,  but now they figured out that they don`t need the dads permission before because he isn`t the guardian. so it is now a convert baptism because he is 10. His stepdad was actually just called to be our ward mission leader.
