Week #75 January 10, 2018

Hi mom Yolanda was able to get baptized this last sunday and Junior was able to baptize her. He received the priesthood sunday morning and then after church he baptized her. The good thing has been is that this house where junior, yolanda and a bunch of haitian investigators is right next door to the house where our bishop lives along with his brother and law and all his family so all the haitians live right by the two strongest families in the ward. Right now we are teaching mostly haitians with some dominicans and peruvians, still lacking chileans. We want to be able to go with Yolanda and Junior to do baptism for the dead in this next month which would be really cool. The work for the dead is kind of a hard subject for the haitians because in haiti there are a lot of weird beliefs in voodoo and other weird stuff with the dead so the thought of doing baptisms for the dead kind of freaks them out. But I am really so happy for Junior he has such a strong testimony and is really a help to share the gospel with pretty much every haitian that lives in his house.

My companion is doing good but he is getting ready to go home. He leaves the 29 of january to argentina.

This past week I re listen to a talk I really like about following the prophet. It is called 14 fundamentals for following the prophet by ezra taft benson. It is really good you can look it up with any of you guys want to hear it.
