Week #74 January 3, 2018

Ii am sorry your winter break is coming to an end. I am also disappointed that dad did not like star wars.
I may or may not watch it here when it comes out but we can still see it when I get back.

This week was very good, last friday we had a ward new years/christmas dinner and yolanda and pretty much all the haitians in their house went. Yolanda´s baptism is scheduled for this sunday so I will let you know how that turns out. Emmanuel (juniors friend that also lives in the house) house-his baptism date is for two weeks and one of the last questions we were working on with him is about a modern prophet and Thomas s monson. Our last lesson we actually gave him the homework to watch the dvd about thomas s monsons life. Now today we found out that everything has changed for that baptismal question, so we will have to see what happens with that. we do have a couple new investigators. We found a guy named ronaldo who is haitian but speaks spanish and english pretty well and he actually went to church two sundays ago but before our first real lesson with him he went to the south to work for a couple weeks- so we will find him when he gets back. We also found a dominican named erik that is cool. And this past sunday a cousin of yolanda got to chile and we taught him. So far the best way of finding new investigators is having our haitians go pick up family members from the airport.

for new year we did the same thing as christmas we could go eat dinner with a family until 11 pm-so thats what we did.

it is still very hot, there is just as much sweat on my forehead right now as in the skype call

and the apartment is very fun with the 4 of us

it was quite a surprise to find out that president monson had died this morning. especially being a missionary. but that movie about his life is amazing and really shows how great a man he was.

thank you for everything, I love you
Elder Austin
