Week #58 September 13, 2017

Hey mom whats up. I am starting to feel older too. Especially because a huge new group of missionaries just got to the mission which was pretty much my group last year.  The only difference is is that I am a year older that these youngins. 

That conference sounds pretty cool. One of the chapters in preach my gospel is all about the attributes of christ. 

This past week we had a really good noche de hogar with Rodolfo with a family in the ward. And this past Saturday the ward had its party for the chilean independence day even though it doesn't´t actually happen until the 18th. Rodolfo even started helping some of the young adults in the ward prepare for the activity but en the end he wasn't able to go for some family problems. The ward activity lasted all day Saturday but we only stopped by to eat lunch there. 

This Monday was 11th day September another day when we can´t leave the house. Sunday before it got dark we had to enter to the house. And then Monday morning we were allowed to leave to go to district meeting and then we came back home and stayed in the house the rest of the day. We did make excellent plans for this day though. We pretty much just planned out 3 huge meals. For breakfast we ate eggs, sausage and pancakes. Then for lunch we made hamburgers with french fries and for dinner we made burritos. We also played some chess (I won) chilled. So we had a pretty good time in our house. Our bishop didn´t know if we knew we needed to be inside, we were busy cooking in the house and didn´t have the phone with us but when we finally picked up the phone we awkwardly had 10 missed calls and two texts from the bishop. at least we know he cares about us. 

Elder Moore is super dope, they were special changes so I was only with Elder Gowers for 5 weeks.  Pretty much right now the biggest thing I am learning from Elder Moore is how to be cleaner. I have learned a bunch of stuff on the mission but I still haven´t developed the skill of being super clean. But I am now getting a lot better at it because Elder Moore is a very good cleaner and I feel bad if he starts cleaning everything so I have had to be more cleaner. 

One of the things I liked this week was during a district meeting. At the end of the meeting instead of ending our zone leaders had everyone go out side to the streets and just contact and give away a book of mormon, be were also suppose to apply a few of the thing that elder Bragg had taught when he came for the zone conference. It was cool to do that because sometimes it feels the we have so much training, and studying and preparing, and talking that if we miss the shorter amount of time we have to work we justed wasted a whole lot of time with all that practicing and studying. So it was cool that just went out side and contacted instead of continuing with the meeting.
