Week #12 October 26, 2016
This week I start my second change with Elder Kau at El Bosque so I will have at least another 6 weeks with him. This past Sunday
I spoke in church about faith and it definitely was a miracle I was able to
speak for 20 minutes after preparing my talk that morning. This week we
started teaching someone named grabriel. He is a really cool guy and the
boyfriend of the oldest daughter of familia perez. Familia perez is the
only normal family we have in our ward. Our first lesson went really
well but there is also a lot of pressure too. A lot of pressure on him
to get baptized from familia perez and a lot of pressure on us to teach
well. Today for p-day we went to corbatas and got
50cm completos (picture below).
(Below is part of the letter Nathan sent me answering some of my questions.)
Hola! Thank you again for the package but I haven´t got it yet but I won´t be able to find out again until our next district meeting next Tuesday. Yes we do have investigators and there are tons of inactive people we are trying to active. At one point we had 4 people with baptism dates but those all have fallen through this past week. So we do have investigators but we have kind of had to start over with baptism dates this past week.

I have been having a great time with elder kau, we do a
ton of walking but we also can talk about books so it isn´t so bad. For
my study time I usually read from preach my gospel or the book of Mormon. Here we aren´t allowed to have bags of any type, everything
we want with us we have to carry in our hands. They do celebrate Halloween in Chile and it is going to be weird having Christmas here
because it is starting to get hot. I´m glad Brookie remembers me and hopefully I will still be her favorite when I get back. And I haven´t really
gained any weight yet i´m just trying to avoid the coke but
the people here just don´t understand what water is.
Love Elder Austin
The completo (Spanish for "complete", "total") is a hot dog variation eaten in Chile, usually served with ingredients such as chopped tomatoes, avocados, mayonnaise(a large amount) , sauerkraut,[1] Its size can be twice of an American hot dog.[2]
Every week Nathan's mission president sends us the mission newsletter that includes a message from the President. The newsletter is all in Spanish but they send his mission presidents message in English. Below is a link to the message. I really enjoy them so I thought I would post them.
